The outer portion of Sierra's half sleeve representing the idea of 'nothing is how it first seems.' I chose a more abstract way of representing this theme, opting for a very smooth and graceful looking biomech-esque environment that in some spots reveals a rotting, bloody interior. The bubbly negative space patterns help illustrate the happy, pristine falsehood, as well as lend a bit of a feminine feel to the normally severe and masculine 'biomech' influenced subject matter. I also took advantage of Sierra's very pale skin to experiment with an idea I had for a monochromatic light fleshtone palette.
